Daniel Hahn retired in 2021 from a 34-year career as a police officer.
He rose through the ranks of the Sacramento Police Department to the rank of captain before becoming the first African American police officer and police chief in Roseville CA in 2011.
He returned to his home town of Sacramento as the first African American Police Chief in the city’s over 170+ year history.
